The Challenge.
The project involved migrating a significant volume of content from the previous website, including complex relationships between legal services, people profiles and insight content. Maintaining these connections while improving the overall structure and user experience required careful planning and a robust technical solution.
Alongside the migration, the website required a modern technical framework capable of meeting current accessibility, performance and usability standards while supporting future growth.
Technical Delivery & Development.
Hands Digital developed the website on WordPress, delivering a modern and highly maintainable platform built to current web standards. To support the migration process, we created a bespoke migration tool capable of transferring content and preserving key relationships between different content types.
The legal services section was restructured into a clearer hierarchy, while a bespoke careers area was developed to support future recruitment. Throughout the build, particular attention was given to accessibility, usability and performance, achieving WCAG 2.2 AA compliance and excellent Core Web Vitals scores.
